2013 Winter Expeditions

It has become a winter tradition for Team Sherpa Ultra Running to create a series of Fat Ass events that helps us/runners motivate and continue to train during the winter months. 2013 will prove to be no different as Team Sherpa Ultra Running presents the 2013 Winter Expeditions.
As always, these "Fat Ass" style events are open to any and all qualified comers; though screening will be conducted to determine one's true ability to complete the challenges, given their sometimes risky or arduous nature. We do welcome those who wish to travel on a small part of the course to join us for any distance they are comfortable with. All events are unofficial, FREE, no aid, no t-shirts, no awards, no whining. Quite simply.. group runs.

Anyone interested in joining us for one of the below events should contact me at Sherpajohn@gmail.com You will then be placed on this season's Fat Ass e-mail list and will receive informational e-mails accordingly.

May 18, 2013: The "Grand" Adventure 2013

  1. You are doing SJS50?! Wow. That was quite an event. I had a great time, but it is too big for me.

November is a long shot as I am recover from Leadville, but I would love to make that run. The Frozen Front Range Marathon and Highline Canal runs will be on my radar screen.

  3. Brad,
Thanks for contacting. Typically I ask that participants e-mail me at sherpajohn@gmail.com so that I can relay all pertinent information about the event to you. Such as Start time, start location, etc.

Again.. these events are more "social" in nature. We welcome all who want to join us. But there is no formal registration as there are no fees, no shirts, no awards, etc. We also ask that you bring your own aid. Please feel free to e-mail me Brad.. we'd love to have you!
