Success...
This years race shirt says on the back, "Sometimes Success Is Measure By Getting Your Ass Out Alive." Those words couldn't be more true in defining what is known as The Barkley Experience.
After 12 Hours 25 Minutes and 41 Seconds.. I strolled up to the yellow gate in Frozen Head State Park and finished one lap on the Barkley Course. Undoubtedly the toughest 20 mile run in my life on the worlds toughest race course.
Within the next few days, it is my hope to have carefully and eloquently crafted for you a race report unlike any other. A report that tries to serve justice to a course in which words cannot possibly accurately describe. Either way, what a hell of a way to start off Project 2010, with a one loop completion at the legend that is The Barkley Marathons.
Stay tuned!
